About Portage County Master Gardener Association
The Portage County Master Gardener Volunteers (PCMG) is a local organization of volunteers who help educate community residents about gardening and natural resources. We are Portage County volunteers who are certified, or working toward certification as a Master Gardener through the University of Wisconsin - Madison Division of Extension Master Gardener program. Portage County Master Gardener Volunteers, Inc. is organized and operated for charitable or educational purposes under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

PCMG's maintain over 15 Portage County public flower and vegetable beds. You will find us at the annual Plant Sale, Garden Dreams, Garden Parade, the Farmers Market, local fairs, and other community events. We also provide grants and scholorships, deliver youth gardening programs, and help at Community Gardens.
We are committed to our own continuing education in the horticulture field. It's not about knowing everything about gardening. It's about learning to ask the right questions and knowing how to look up information from appropriate, research-based resources.
We would be happy to have you attend one of our meetings to learn more about our organization!
